Evaluation of South America, 30 years of athletics (1993-2023)
World Athletics is the organization that has governance in 214 federations or countries, made up of 6 areas, associations or confederations: North America, Central America and the Caribbean (NACAC) – 31 federations; European (EAA) – 51 federations; Africa (CAA) – 54 federations; Asia (AAA) – 45 federations; Oceania (OAA)- 20 federations and South America (CONSUDATLE)- 13 federations.
South American athletics was created in 1918, in the last 30 years the presidents have been from Brazil: Roberto Gesta de Melo, 1993-2019 and Helio Gesta de Melo, 2019-2023.
This essay intends that the South American countries, their national and regional federations can improve their development: And the best orientation is: The transformation of school and university sports on our continent.
